Counseling

The Counseling program at PSOE is a two-tiered program involving free scoial and behavioral counseling, and billable life-skills and therapy services.

 

Behavioral Counselor

PSOE employs a counselor for Behavioral Counseling services in order to provide a structred resource for behavioral challenges faced by the school’s student population. This is a free service provided for all students in crisis or in high need of emotional support.

 

Social Counselor

PSOE employs a counselor for Social Counseling services to act as a conduit between the school and the home. This counselor works to match services and resources with family needs as they arise. This is a free service provided for all students and familes in crisis or in high need of support.

 

Life Skills Services

Through Cummins Behavior and Mental Health Services, PSOE is proud to offer a Life Skills Specialist on site. Eligible families work with the Cummins specialist to monitor student growth and open lines of communication between the school, student, and the family. This is a fee-based services, free to students on Indiana Medicaid.

 

Behavioral Therapy

Through Cummins Behavior and Mental Health Services, PSOE is proud to offer a Behavioral Therapist on site. Eligible families work with the Cummins therapist to explore solutions to behavioral challenges that affect the student’s ability to thrive in the educational environment. The therapist works closely with the student and family to monitor student growth and help facilitate interventions that can help equip the student with the tools necessary to succeed in the classroom. This is a fee-based services, free to students on Indiana Medicaid.
